We are a registered charity proud to continuously support and provide our thriving community with social, sporting, cultural, educational and recreational facilities for all to enjoy.

This includes owning and maintaining Staveley Village Hall, Institute, Recreation Ground, Pavilion, Children’s playground and Allotments. These property assets are important to life in our community and are valued at more than £3m. All of our facilities have good access to public transport. Only Assistance dogs are permitted in our buildings.

Prices

Our aim is to ensure our hire fees are affordable for all to use and enjoy. Accordingly we have held the fees for the Institute and Village Hall we charge to charities and community groups for over ten years.

In order to keep our costs low, we ask that everyone that hires and uses our spaces respectfully returns them as they were found. An end of Session check list is available to view here - Final Check List

Bank Room

Kentmere Room

KITCHENS

There are two fully furnished and well-equipped kitchens connected to the Pavilion, Village Hall and Institute.

They both include a commercial cooker, water heater, kettle, crockery and cutlery, perfect for meeting refreshments, coffee mornings, kids parties and theatre interval catering.

THE PAVILION

Located next to both the sports field and children's playground, the Pavilion is ideal for children’s parties, playgroups and youth clubs, as activities can be extended outside and into the playground. View Site Plan

The site is close to the Mill yard, Eagle and Child pub, the bus stop and connecting footpaths to the River Kent, Dales way, Bluebell and Craggy Woods.

AYLAND

Sports Field

We are spoiled with this fantastic four acre space! This is an area for recreation and sport. It features a football pitch, training pitch, multipurpose court, children’s playground and a crown green bowling club. The Sports field is covered by Public Space Protection Order. All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and owners must clean up any dog mess.

There is an opportunity to hire this space for community events, car boot sales and occasional event camping - see conditions below:

Conditions of Use: Maximum of 71 spaces for overnight accommodation in tents, caravans & motorhomes. No electricity, water or sewage hook ups available. Gas cylinders must be under 7 Kg & limited to one per vehicle. No open fires. Restricted entry & exit times. Showers available.

BOWLING GREEN

The home of the Crown Green Bowling Club. We extend a very warm welcome to everyone of all ages, and abilities, who would like to learn about the game of Crown Green Bowling or who would like to be involved in the social side of Staveley Bowling Club.

Playground

Staveley Playground underwent major refurbishments in 2022 and 2010. The Playground is owned by Staveley Village Association, which is overseen by it’s trustees. With thanks to local Business Donors, Community Fundraising Events and the many volunteers.

THE BALL COURT

Staveley Village Association plan to upgrade the Ball Court to an All Sports Court to add more variety of use. The Ball Court Project will be funded by Grant application and Fundraising events.
