SVA Facilities Investments Over The Last 18 Months (January 2022 - July 2023)
The trustees regularly review progress against our agreed & critically important goal of tackling the 5+ year backlog of investment in SVA facilities.
The trustees are proud of the progress that has been made over the last 18 months and summarise below (in descending order by value) the thirteen investments we have made, totalling £159.4K:
Playground renewal £125.3k - maintenance Flat shower refurbishment £11.4K - maintenance Building surveys £5.5k - compliance Electrical compliance £5.2k - compliance WiFi network £3.5k - enhancement Village Hall shed roof replacement £2.2k - enhancement Flat window replacement £1.7k - maintenance Legionella management £1.1k - compliance Village Hall foyer refurbishment £1.0k - maintenance Asbestos management £0.9k - compliance LDNPA planning permission £0.8k - compliance Village Hall stage fire detection £0.7k - compliance Tenant shed £0.1k - enhancement
We agreed the need for our investments to be focussed on bringing all of our facilities back into full use (maintenance) in order to grow the charity’s revenue, whilst ensuring we are fully compliant with all laws and regulations (compliance). We also agreed to minimise new facility spending (enhancements) until we have made significant progress on the backlog of maintenance and compliance works. We have summarised the spending above by the three categories:
Maintenance £139.4K (87%)
Compliance £14.2k (9%)
Enhancements £5.8k (4%)
This shape of investment is in accordance with the trustees agreed goals.
