Clive Johnson Retires from the SVA After Years of Dedicated Service
The Trustees of Staveley Village Association would like to express their sincere gratitude to Clive Johnson following his retirement as Chairman and Trustee after more than fourteen years of dedicated service.
Clive joined the Association in January 2012, although his involvement in village life stretches back much further. Inspired by his father's commitment to volunteering, Clive has spent decades helping to support and improve community facilities in Staveley. What began as lending a hand with repairs and maintenance grew into an extraordinary commitment to the Village Hall, Pavilion and recreation grounds, becoming the person many turned to whenever something needed fixing, organising or improving.
A joiner by trade, Clive generously gave countless hours of his time and expertise to maintaining and enhancing the village's buildings and grounds. From early-morning car boot sales and fundraising events to tackling burst pipes, heating issues and building repairs, his dedication has been a constant presence behind the scenes.
Throughout his years of service, Clive's commitment has always been driven by a deep care for the village and its community. He has taken great pride in seeing local events flourish and in ensuring that the facilities entrusted to the Association remain welcoming, well-maintained and available for everyone to enjoy.
Even in stepping down from his formal role, Clive has generously offered his knowledge, experience and practical support whenever needed, reflecting the same spirit of service that has characterised his contribution over so many years.
On behalf of the Association and the wider village community, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Clive for his dedication, hard work and unwavering commitment. His contribution to Staveley has been immense, and the positive impact of his efforts will be felt for many years to come.
Thank you, Clive.
