Playground Update.

We previously issued an update on 16th of July and we can now better understand the impact on the hirers of the Pavilion.

United Utilities have now secured the required permits to progress the river crossing which will enable them to complete their work through the playground by the end of September 2026.

Playdale have agreed a reinstallation date commencing the Thursday 8th October 2026.

On this basis the playground will now reopen on Monday 2nd November 2026. This is obviously subject to any further delays.

This two month delay in United Utilities work has forced us to extend the closure of the Pavilion for both safety reasons and because United Utilities have been using the Pavilion as a base.

We have previously accepted bookings for the Pavilion starting in August and these bookings will now need to be moved. We hope to be able to accommodate users in our other facilities and we have started the process of having those discussions with the relevant users.
